Morobeats Live at Urbiztondo

This November, Urbiztondo plays host to Mindanao hip-hop collective MOROBEATS — presented by EL UNION and HIPHOPAN NATION.

Founded in 2014 by DJ Medmessiah, Morobeats began as a celebration of dialects and regional sounds. 11 years on and they've emerged from the Philippine hip-hop scene as the unyielding voice of the marginalized.

Very few songs encapsulate this more than their recent single 'Anak Ka Ng Pu!' that they debuted during the Luneta Park protests last 21st of September. On it, Rolling Stone Philippines says "Morobeats tapped into that anger, pulling a thread that connected systemic abuse to the lived experiences of ordinary Filipinos."
